An Immigrant’s Celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary

I immigrated to Canada from war-torn Sri Lanka in 1986. When I arrived, I knew no one, and I needed a job. St. Peter’s Seminary offered me a bed to sleep in, and while I was there they introduced me to the CEO of a software company. That introduction and the chance he gave me changed my life: I have now been working in technology for over 30 years. After some time as the Chief Technology Office of the City of London, I started my own technology and innovation company, INVORG.
